Getting started
YetdaPay provides development tools for paid software: protect supported modules, manage licenses, and integrate commerce. You can work from the terminal, through an AI coding agent, or directly from an SDK.
Fastest route
Follow installation, run devpay doctor, then try the five-step quickstart. Public npm publication is not required to run the CLI from this repository.
Choose your goal
| What you want | Start here | Next |
|---|---|---|
| Protect an existing paid module | Quickstart | Protection |
| Connect an AI coding agent | MCP overview | Local setup |
| Enforce license-backed features | SDK overview | Licensing |
| Add donations or feedback | Examples | Vue / React embeds |
| Understand REST & operations | API | Payments |
Before you run anything
- Node.js 18.17+ for the CLI and local protect MCP; Node 22 for the server licensing SDK.
- Trust the workspace: plan and verify can execute target project code. Neither is a sandbox.
- Local distribution: the CLI and SDKs are used from source or tarballs, not a public registry release.
- Mock / TEST only: no real PG capture or production payment settlement is verified.
Understand the product boundaries
YetdaPay is the seller/buyer-facing commerce product. DevPay names the developer tooling (including devpay and @devpay/*).
Planned ≠ applied ≠ verified. Every stage needs its own evidence. Read the concepts guide and the known limitations before adoption.
